On Day 1, presentations were made on the themes of ‘SDG 5- Opportunities and Challenges’ and ‘SDG 5 Report Card- Gender Equality and Co-operatives.’ Day 2 saw a panel discussion on ‘How Monitoring and Evaluation can be leveraged to fast track gender equality in cooperatives?’ This was followed by a group discussion in which the participants were divided into two groups to discuss and formulate indicators for four targets under SDG 5, which would be beneficial for co-operative organizations to achieve gender equality. Going forward, the co-operative organizations are expected to collect data as per these indicators, track the progress or the lack thereof, and consequently formulate rules or policies to remedy the status of gender equality within their organizations.
